Prevalence Rates of Problem Gambling 

In Ontario, 4.8% of adults have moderate to severe gambling problems; of those experiencing problems, 38.8% are women and 61.2% are men. (Williams & Wood 2004)  Detailed results of these prevalence rates, based on gender, are shown in Figure 1.
