Ms. Urbanoski has worked on the Health Systems Research & Consulting Unit since March 2001. During this time, she has been extensively involved in the analysis and reporting of data from the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Information System (DATIS), the standardized reporting system for the provinces specialized addiction treatment agencies. In addition, her work has included multiple projects examining the prevalence and correlates of concurrent substance use and mental disorders, and of treatment demand for cannabis problems in various Canadian treatment settings. She began her Ph.D. in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Toronto in September 2003. Her dissertation research is focussed on the role and impact of various social pressures on substance abuse treatment entry and processes.
