Advanced Clinical and Educational Services (A.C.E.S.) for Problem Gambling, Gaming and Internet Use

A.C.E.S. is an innovative program that will help identify at-risk youth and provide them with treatment options. In particular, A.C.E.S. aims to understand youth problem gambling, gaming and Internet use in the context of the youth’s whole life. 

A.C.E.S. will involve a range of services that meet the unique needs of these youth, and will help accomplish the following:

  • address the impacts of problem gambling, gaming and Internet use on their lives;
  • increase their motivation to address their problem behaviour;
  • improve resilience, and develop skills and techniques for finding healthy activities to replace their problem behaviours; and
  • overall, reduce the problem and its negative consequences.
